PowerPlays — Strategic Coaching for Independent Artists

Strategic One-on-One Coaching for Independent Artists

Still working, but your music career isn’t moving the way it should?

Most artists don’t fail because they lack ability. They fail because no one ever showed them how to operate like a business in an industry that profits from confusion.

Request Consideration

You’re releasing music.

Posting content.

Spending money.

Staying consistent.

But nothing compounds.

Nothing scales.

Nothing feels stable.

That’s not a talent problem. That’s a structure problem.

If you are tired of guessing, chasing success, and hoping something finally works—

The artist who knows they’re capable of more.

  • Knows their talent is not the issue
  • Is done throwing money at random tactics
  • Wants real income, not just attention
  • Cares about ownership and long-term leverage
  • Is ready to treat their career like a business, not a hobby

If that sounds like you, this is where things change.

A six-month, one-on-one coaching program.

PowerPlays is for independent artists who are ready to operate like a business, execute a proven plan, and make money with their music while retaining ownership.

This is not management.

This is not a label.

This is not done-for-you.

PowerPlays exists for artists who want clarity, structure, leverage, and accountability in an industry that profits from confusion, misinformation, and imbalance.

Artists who are ready.

  • Are independent or unsigned
  • Take responsibility for their career
  • Are willing to follow a structured plan
  • Have a budget and understand that growth requires investment
  • Want ownership, leverage, and long-term income — not quick validation
  • Are tired of guessing, winging it, or chasing clout

If you want fame without infrastructure, this is not for you.

If you want someone else to “put you on,” this is not for you.

If you want a career you control, keep reading.

Imagine this instead.

You know exactly what to release and when

Your audience connects and converts

Your decisions are based on data, not emotion

Your catalog creates value and leverage while you keep ownership

You understand marketing without being frustrated by it

Your career moves with intention, not desperation

From confusion to control in six months.

Weekly strategy calls with follow-up
A structured plan with defined milestones
Clear execution standards
Accountability and course correction
Real-world frameworks for today’s market

This is coaching, not consulting.

You will do the work.

You will learn what matters, what does not, and why.

Month 1

Control & Identity

From chaos to clarity

Organize music, digital presence, define brand and image. Career audit and a defined roadmap.

Goal: Stop feeling scattered. Know who you are, what you’re building, and where everything lives. Systems are in place.

Month 2

Testing & Proof

Replacing hope with data

Test music and measure what reacts.

Goal: Stop wondering “Is this working?” and start seeing evidence of what reacts and why.

Month 3

Planning & Monetization Setup

Turning information into a real plan

Create the marketing plan, budget, and timeline. Positioning, audience strategy, release planning, and monetization infrastructure.

Goal: Have a real roadmap. Know what success costs, what comes next, and how money flows.

Month 4

Content & Protection

Visibility without chaos

Build repeatable systems and templates. Plan, shoot, edit, and schedule content. Secure legal foundations and protect ownership.

Goal: Become visible on purpose and legally protected before momentum hits.

Month 5

Releases & Discovery

Putting music into the marketplace correctly

Release music consistently, advertise and market, and read performance calmly. Income streams, ownership strategy, and marketing systems.

Goal: Music is live, promotion is running, and you know how to evaluate results intelligently.

Month 6

Expansion & Strategy

Preparing for the next phase

Build direct-to-fan infrastructure, press and media, real-world traction, and assemble a team. Decision frameworks and systems that compound.

Goal: Leave PowerPlays with systems in place, momentum underway, and clarity about your next chapter.
5

Five artists per cycle. That’s it.

This is intentional. It ensures each artist receives direct attention, individualized strategy, and honest feedback. If you are looking for group coaching, volume programs, or surface-level advice, this is not it.

Structure beats talent without direction.

Most artists fail not because they lack talent, but because they lack structure.

They are motivated but misinformed.

They spend money without a plan.

They chase attention instead of fan connection and leverage.

The music industry rewards people who understand systems.

PowerPlays teaches you how those systems actually work.

30+ years of artist empowerment.

Wendy Day is a music industry strategist with over 30 years of experience helping independent artists navigate the business side of music with clarity and control. She is known for teaching artists how to build leverage, retain ownership, and generate real income by understanding how the industry actually works. Her approach is direct, practical, and grounded in real-world experience. She coaches artists to think like business owners, make informed decisions, and execute proven strategies that lead to sustainable careers—not hype, shortcuts, or clout.

Structure Wins

Not theory. Not trends.

Ownership Matters

Retain what you build.

Consistency Compounds

Systems over shortcuts.

Real results. Real artists. Real talk.

I was a fan of Wendy before I met her. Her reputation was always strong, but it was her work thru her Rap Coalition brand that made me admire her more. With an industry filled with snakes, it was nice to see someone cutting the grass. Someone that fights for the art AND the artist. Negotiating fair deals with major labels, building independent companies from the ground up, but most importantly just really giving a f%ck! As an artist, sometimes that’s all we ask for. Someone to work with us and show that they actually care about us and not just how much money we can make them. Wendy found me through the grace of God and believed in me when many didn’t. She structured a plan catered to me that comes with a team that executes. She is invested on a day to day basis and always thinks of me first. Wendy is Tom Brady throwing a touchdown pass to the wide receiver you didn’t have in your fantasy draft. She makes stars like she makes breakfast. She is the GOAT.

Flawless

Working with Wendy was a turning point in my career. She didn’t just help us – she showed up. Patient, intentional, and genuinely invested in making sure we understood every step. Because of her, my partner and I secured not just a deal, but the right deal – with the best terms and a foundation we actually feel good about. In an industry driven by ego and money, she is something rare: genuinely pro-artist. She protects, educates, and empowers. One of the most valuable things she taught me – something I carry into every business decision now – is to treat business relationships like personal ones. Are they manipulating you? Taking advantage? Ignoring your value? Then walk away. That perspective changed everything. When Wendy’s name comes up, people don’t play. Any artist who gets the chance to learn from her is already ten steps ahead.

Siddity

The Girll Codee

My record is growing way better and faster than any record I’ve ever put out. Because of Wendy, I know the benchmarks to look for – and we’re hitting them. It’s working now because I’m getting the right advice and the right services. People don’t accomplish their goals in music for different reasons – money, motivation, know-how. Wendy changed the narrative for me. She told me the Shazams and user-generated content matter more than spins. That same week I went and made content. That’s the kind of clarity she gives you – and that’s how you know it’s real.

Big Feddy

Independent Artist, NC

Working with Wendy Day has been one of the smartest moves I’ve made in my music career. As an up-and-coming label owner navigating the independent rap scene, I needed real, no-BS guidance on building a sustainable label without getting taken advantage of by shady deals or bad advice. Wendy delivered exactly that – and more. From our very first conversation, it was clear she’s in a league of her own. She broke down the music business in a way that was straightforward, actionable, and tailored to my goals. Her insights on finding real investors instead of predatory label contracts, maximizing revenue streams, and avoiding common industry pitfalls saved me time, money, and headaches. What stands out most is how hands-on and dedicated she is. Wendy doesn’t just consult – she genuinely cares about seeing artists win and keep the money they earn. If you’re a serious rapper or label owner with the drive to succeed independently, Wendy Day is the consultant you need. She’s the real deal in an industry full of talkers.
